We are pleased to let everyone know that we now have one u7 squad in training and also one u8 team which we have registered to play in the Carlisle Glass Longhorn league for the 2016/17 season. We wish the young “Eagles” good luck along with their coach Paul Turney. Also, we are pleased to announce that Sonia Howe will be joining us to assist Paul with his teams.

Our under 10's squad is now playing in the Penrith and District League and train on a Tuesday night at California Road Pitch between 6 and 7 pm with Hamish, Jess and Kim.

There are also a number of under 12 players, but again unfortunately not enough as yet to form a team. So we will be training these on and playing friendlies ready for the start of next season.

The Houghton after school football club on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoons will be continuing again from September, but we will be splitting them into year groups to make the training more age related. We will also be looking at running training sessions through the summer holidays. Look out for more news on this through the school and our website.

If any parents would like to assist with any of the teams or offer any other form of help, then please do get in contact, we would be delighted to have your support.

We are all very excited with the positive response you have all given us and we look forward to continuing to add players to the squads/teams and to grow the club with your help and support.

Lastly, we must not forget to thank the players, because without them there is not a club.
